Enough Already.
North Korea just sentenced Current TV reporters Laura Ling and Euna Lee to 12 years of hard labor. This is outrageous. I understand that North Korea is a hardline Stalinesque dictatorship whose actions border on insane half of the time ... but how many more ineffectual UN Resolutions need to be passed and how many more agreements need to be broken by North Korea before it dawns on us that the strategy of the last 16 years does not work. It's time for a policy change. I am not saying start a war on the Korean Peninsula, but the detention of these reporters amounts to little more than hostage taking. if North Korea wants to poke the rest of the world, maybe it's time to poke back a little bit, instead of spending thousands of hours trying to patronize and psychoanalyze the insane.
